HELLO HELLO LETS TALK MET GALA

I have been looking for inspiration for so long and now I think I may have just found it. Sooooo lets talk MET GALA. With every look and every angle It was simply a jaw dropping WOW. I loved everything about it.

To me the MET GALA is the fashion arena where all the celebs can go wearing anything even the most uncomfortable couture and still pull it off without being harshly judged or miss understood or looking like they are lunatics.

To kick it off I would start with lady Gaga. I am so happy because partly I used to be a little monster and her outfit is taking me back to the old good days and I loved it. The metallic corset, the shoes, the hair got me saying all hail queen monster.
Moving on on the list we have Claire Danes. She was the Cinderella for the night. her dress Lord  it was simply magnificent. She made me believe fairy tales could could actually happen and the way the dress glows in the dark. To me it was the BEST dress of the evening.
Lets go to the most talked about family in the world and yes you guessed right the Kardashian. who should I start with well I will start with all of them. to them felt much like a uniform with the silver/sequence/metallic dresses.

For all the fans of the Great Gatsby Zendaya took it back to the days. very chic, sophisticated and classic. i loved it.
Rita Ora slayed in her feathery dress. It was very English, very funny and elegant all at the same time.

Taylor Swift took me by surprised. I mean she wore something completely different with a very sophisticated touch of the gladiators era I guess she was trying to be FUNKY if you ask me and did it work? i will leave that to you.
Nicki Minaj showed off her best assets in a well fitted black dress, I stopped trying to understand this dress because at the end of the day it the met gala and you do not need to understand anything.
here goes Ciara she looked okay am still confused about her hair though
It would be a met gala without talking about queen Bee. hello #lemonade fans and all the beehives fans out there. and she SLAYED. Though i would like to know the materials used for this dress because it looks like a condom somehow.
Lupita Nyong'o how could I forget our African favourite. she looked lovely and the hairstyle truly African loved it.
Anna Wintour in white looking great
and this girl am yet to figure out who she is but she looked good
Naomi Campbell was also there
Katy Perry rocked her outfit. loved loved loved it

Black lively looked like a goddess, she just a fashionista that she could do no wrong to me
and the fun began

tell me who do you think wore best.

This man is like the Dior and Versace combined in one. His designs are so amazing that you can help but loves. He keeps them classy, playful, chic, elegant. I mean what can I say He simply know what a woman needs and he is not afraid to push boundaries to achieve the looks.

This man is so amazing and he definitely knows how to make a girl feel Classy and Fabulous. I just cant bring myself to hate him. I admire his work. I mean who wouldn't right?. He is one of those few African Designers that am willing to say with no shame that they are FIERCE.

Whenever I look at the dress am pretty sure he Had one person in mind and that would be QUEEN BEE. I mean seriously look at the dress simply perfection. Let me not say so much because I just dont want to ruin things. PERFECTION.
I love how he combine african prints and manage to make them look modern and fun.

This man can make you feel like a goddess with his amazing designs. For anyone wanting to feel and look posh, classy, elegant, David Tlale needs to be on your list and Just so you know he has some fabulous Handbags but am sure will match to your standards. That why I will always say that he is the Versace and Dior of Africa.

Mustafa Hassanali.
I call him the Valentino of Africa and the image below will explain why.

Its how he mixes the African prints and other fabrics to get some of the most beautiful flawless looks there is that fascinate me. This tanzanian based designer has managed to work with some of the well known models bot in africa and all around the world. With big names such as  Naomi Campbell and Millen Magese. He really is on top of his game.

Its the richness in his fabrics and the uniqueness yet simplicity of his designs that makes me say FIERCE FIERCE FIERCE.

There are so many reasons why I love the work of these two designers but I fell in love with the dress below and am not sure if it was the dress or the model or both that made the look one of my favorite thinks that ever walked down any African runways.

THE MTV MAMA AWARDS AFRICA

Before the awards I really had a urge of writing about the fashion on the red carpet. But now that they have already happened I have completely lost interest. But that is not stopping me from showing you guys what these African celebs wore. As usual some got it write and some well were a little disappointing and others copied styles. So today am going to say less because my list is too long.
 D'banj
loved the look I mean who wouldn't.

 Jessica Nkosi
Personally I have mixed emotions about this dress but I totally dig the color.
 Iyanya

Definitely different and different is good.
Pearl Thusi simply gorgeous

Not my favorite look I mean she wore better last year.

The host of the show
Talking about slits this girl nailed it

 Neyo.....he looked great.

This is different and in a good way I guess she is keeping it African

 P-square well they were okay

Jhene Aiko am disappointed

loved the look from the neck down and that is minus the shoes

Well those are just some of the looks that did hit the red carpet But in general I can tell you guys that. This year's MTV mama awards Men brought their A game to the red carpet and most women seem to divert to the wrong side But in general I would name D'banj as the best dressed male artist on the award show and Pearl Thusi as the best dressed woman for the night.

Let me know what you think by commenting on the post. But don't forget to Like and share and like.

XOXO
